At Dominelli School of Music we believe that every student should be supported in their unique learning needs, and that of course includes individuals with disabilities who would like to learn music. We hire a large number of instructors who specifically take interest in working with students with disabilities including autism, adhd, tourettes, and other speech, motor or intellectual disabilities. Our instructors receive regular training and support from our in-house Music Therapist to make sure they are confident in how to best support every unique learning need.
We also offer Music Therapy at our North Edmonton location, or in the comfort of your own home or business.

Our trained music teachers customize music lessons to the learning needs of each student to support their individual path to learning their instrument. Sometimes it's dimming the lights to create a less sensory stimulating environment, other times it means going for a walk down the hallway while clapping rhythms, or practicing speech and language through singing songs. We offer music lessons for individuals with disabilities at both our North Edmonton and St. Albert music schools on the following instruments:
- General Music (exploring all instruments)
- Art (drawing, painting, mixed media)
- Piano
- Guitar
- Singing
- Drums
- Ukulele
- Bass
Our music lessons are one-on-one and 30 minutes in length. The price is $29.50 per 30 minute lesson, billed on the first of each month. There is no long term commitment, as everything is billed monthly.

Hi everyone, my name is Ayla! I have always loved music and although my main passion is playing the guitar, I also play other stringed instruments such as bass and ukulele. I have over ten years of experience playing the piano, and have also just recently started playing drums! I am currently part of two bands in which I play lead guitar, and while I mainly enjoy playing in genres such as metal and hardcore, I also love many other styles such as indie, classic rock, and hip hop! Creativity and expression are really important to my approach in teaching music, and to me the most important thing is that my students play what they enjoy and are having fun learning!
Ayla Teaches Wednesdays from 5-9pm in St. Albert

I have been a studio musician in Edmonton since June 2021, and I have played several gigs across Edmonton and surrounding areas for various bands and as a solo act. I have been playing the piano since I was six years old and have trained with RCM and Conservatory Canada. I develop my lessons to fit your unique learning style and interests, optimizing your learning experience by creating lessons that appeal to auditory, visual, or hands-on learners.
